The image of the back cover of Battlecorps (German back cover variation) was kindly supplied by Matthew Maddox

Matthew Maddox says that although the back cover is different, the front cover is identical to the original version, the manual is the standard 6 language edition and there are the same three language choices in-game.  Matt's copy came complete with a yellow oval "Komplett in Deutsch" sticker on the front.  A German back cover variation of SoulStar is also known.

The score from "Gamers" isn't a misprint, Joerg Burkart has e-mailed me to explain they use the same grading system as German schools:
  • 1 ā 1- ā 2+ ā 2 ā 2- ā 3+ ā 3 ā 3- ā 4+ ā 4 ā 4- ā 5+ ā 5 ā 5- ā 6

So think of "1-" as the second best score available for reviews.

A demo CD containing the entire first level was given away with issue 11 of Mega Power, followed by a 2-in-1 demo CD which also contained a demo of SoulStar with issue 14 of Mega Power.  In late 1995 the Battlecorps Paragon Publishing demo was supplied with issue 50 of Sega Pro CD.
